Our accommodation is close to many easy, relaxing walks in the immediate area and down towards the El Chorro Gorge with breathtaking views of the Camino Del Rey. Walking and rambling in El Chorro are very popular and local guides are available. The stunning scenery is breathtaking and El Chorro is definitely a good choice for this type of holiday. There are guided walks available to El Hacho, El Chorro and Carratraca which will take you through some of the most breathtaking scenery you have ever seen.

El Chorro is also perfectly placed as a resting point along a few long distance paths, GR7 and GR249. Mostly notably, the GR7 (Gran Recorrido 7) is part of the longest path in Europe, the European trail E4, which travels for nearly 9000km from Tarifa (the Southernmost tip of Spain), through El Chorro, up through Spain, France, Andorra, back into France, then on through Switzerland, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and into Greece. Some of the best signposting of the route is in Andalucía, so you can relax more whilst walking and enjoy the amazing scenery.

The Great Malaga Path (Gran Senda de Malaga), GR249, is a 650km circular walk covering the Southern coastline from Nerja to Estepona and in land to Ronda, El Chorro, and Archidona. The path goes through 4 Natural Parks, 2 Nature Reserves and 3 Natural Sites. El Chorro is perfectly placed at the end of section 20 and the start of section 21.
